The Tibet Protests Mark IFTF's 40th Anniversary in San Francisco

I'm in town for the Institute's 40th Anniversary Celebration, and Ten Year Forecast Summit. The Chinese consulate is right across the street. Our 40th Anniversary dinner this evening, appropriately is focused on "bringing foresight to civil society" and will be held right across the street from this evening's candlelight vigil at the Civic Center where Bishop Desmond Tutu will appear.

New Manuscript: Thinking in Telepathic Cities

This one is bound to be an Anthony Townsend classic. If you understand it, please email me and tell me what it's about, because I'm still not sure I quite get it myself. It will be published later this year in a volume of works arising out of the conference on Towards A Philosophy of Telecommunications Convergence in Budapest last year, and edited by Kristof Nyiri.

Updated 22 April 2008, here is the PDF of the final page proofs. Looks great!
